Watermark Hits The Mark! (Mar 8)
We have just returned from the most incredible weekend getaway ... and we were only 90 minutes from home. As you know, we love wine AND checking out incredible Okanagan destinations ...so when we were presented with the opportunity to head south for a stay at Osoyoos' newest beach resort, we jumped at the chance! Watermark is situated on Lake Osoyoos in the town centre... which means it is located right in the middle of wine country. Yippee! Does it get any better than this??
Watermark is a first-class resort. From the moment we pulled up to check in (with Lake Osoyoos and the mountains providing a stunning backdrop), we knew we were in for a real treat. Every aspect of our stay was top drawer, from the gracious and warm reception of the resort staff, the tastefully appointed rooms, scrumptious complimentary European continental breakfast and awesome wine bar/restaurant...it was paradise.

The new cast of Dancing With the Stars was announced last night -- and it includes a reality mom, a pop star, an astronaut, a football player, an Olympian and a Bachelor.

It's Time To "Swing With The Stars"!
NEWS FLASH!!! Only a DOZEN tickets are left for the 2nd Annual Swinging with The Stars Gala event in support of the Central Okanagan Hospice Association!! We're not surprised at all to see tickets move this fast for this awesome evening of dinner and dance, supporting hospice. As you know, we were one of the inaugural dance celebrity couples last year and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The experience was truly life-changing...we had such a good time, but have to admit we're thrilled to pass the dancing 'buck' on to some awesome new individuals this time 'round. We will be back, but as hosts for the evening Friday, March 26th at the Coast Capri.
Tj is especially thrilled about the night because she will be pampered head-to-toe, courtesy of Ten Fashions and Total E-Clips Salon. As a matter of fact, she stopped by to see Rosemary at Ten Fashions today to be outfitted in her gown. It's a gorgeous copper, floor-length tafetta number (complete with stunning shoes and accessories) that will match the set perfectly. The plan is to now track down a copper vest/bow-tie for Andy's tux!! (Any suggestions?)
While it's all well and fine to dress up and enjoy a lovely evening of great dinner and entertainment, the most important purpose of the night is to raise awareness and $$ for hospice AND the tremendous work our hospice volunteers do. Sexiest Songs Of All Time (Feb 12)
When you're preparing the perfect soundtrack for Valentine's Day, you may ask yourself, "What are the sexiest songs of all time?" Well, Billboard has answered that question -- but the answer may not be what you think. According to the magazine, the sexiest song of all time is "Physical" by OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN. Why? Well, when Billboard compiled the list of the "Sexiest Songs of All Time," they based it on two things: whether or not the song was actually about sex, and how well it did on the Hot 100 chart. "Physical" was a massive hit, and it's definitely about sex, so it came in at #1.
Shrove Tuesday Is Comin' Up
It's time to dig in to some delicious pannekoeks for a wonderful cause!!
February 16th, 2010 is Shrove Pannekoek Tueday at all De Dutch locations in BC...including the ones here in Kelowna!
For every Panneokek purchased this coming Tuesday, $2 will be donated to the Candian Breast Cancer Foundation, BC/Yukon Region.
All locations will extend their hours to 8pm on Feb 16th to maximize the time for fun and fundraising!
Our collective hats are off to local store owner Maurice Mathieu and his gang for supporting this tremendouse cause again this year. Maurice says Kelowna is a very 'giving town' and he is confident they will reach their fundraising goal! So get out there and eat all the pannekoeks you can for brekky, lunch and dinner next Tuesday!

Ali made things easy for him by leaving the show prior to the scheduled rose ceremony. She was distraught because she was forced to choose between the competition and her obligations to her employer. In the end, the 25-year-old Ali made the agonizing decision to return to her job as an advertising account manager, thus eliminating the need for a rose ceremony. It was the first time in Bachelor history that a rose ceremony was cancelled.

Jamie is well known to culinary and travel enthusiasts sa the nationall acclaimed Food + Travel Editor for Vancouver Magazine for almost 15 years. You may recognize him as a judge on Gordon Ramsay's Hell's Kitchen and has received over 25 awards for his food and travel writing.
